The gap between the US and Europe
The United States moves to summer time on the second Sunday in March (Sunday, March 9, 2025 in 2025) while the European Union waits until the last Sunday (Sunday, March 30, 2025). For those weeks the usual offset between the two is an hour narrower than normal, which is a reliable source of missed transatlantic meetings.
In autumn the order reverses: Europe goes back on Sunday, October 26, 2025, the US a week later on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
