The gap between the US and Europe

The United States moves to summer time on the second Sunday in March (Sunday, March 14, 2027 in 2027) while the European Union waits until the last Sunday (Sunday, March 28, 2027). For those weeks the usual offset between the two is an hour narrower than normal, which is a reliable source of missed transatlantic meetings.

In autumn the order reverses: Europe goes back on Sunday, October 31, 2027, the US a week later on Sunday, November 7, 2027.
